Opportunity Snapshot
When it comes to military construction, do you have a passion for building things right the first time, and in perfect compliance with plans, specifications and the federal government's requirements?
Hitch your star to an awarding-winning company who is rapidly becoming the general contractor of choice in the Southwest USA with over $300 million of federal government projects under contract. This high-impact leadership opportunity offers you the chance to not only spearhead a construction QC department (from the ground up) but also develop standardized processes that can be utilized across projects.
As Director of Quality Control, you will embrace our mission of quality excellence and foster a strong sense of accountability for quality within the project teams. Focusing the team on a shared vision, you will drive all facets of QC at the field job sites, ranging from development of budget, and selecting the right personnel for the right projects to ensuring timely close-out and driving customer satisfaction. You will typically oversee the quality function on anywhere from 8-15 projects in the $10M-50M range with a typical project life span ranging from eighteen months to two years.
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will bring a demonstrated track record of customer satisfaction with NAVFAC & USACE administered government construction projects. Of course, as in any role involving collaboration with diverse stakeholders, you'll bring solid interpersonal and communication skills -- a true "people" person who can get results through influence and motivation, but who also can be assertive when necessary. Documentation and development of processes/procedures are at the heart of this role and you'll also showcase the creativity, vision and organization to develop best quality practices that will push us to the next level.
